About ReGen

From 1 July, we will become Uniting. Uniting is a new community services arm of the Uniting Church in Victoria and Tasmania.

Uniting is the coming together of 22 UnitingCare agencies and two church business units. Uniting for greater change.

As one organisation, we can prepare for current and future changes in the community services sector. We will have access to broader resources and be able reach and support more local communities across Victoria and Tasmania.

We will remain as active as ever in your local community and are committed to delivering the same quality of services.

ReGen’s purpose is to promote health and reduce alcohol and other drug related harm.

Uniting ReGen is the leading alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment and education agency of UnitingCare Victoria and Tasmania. ReGen is a not-for-profit agency, which has over 40 years experience delivering a comprehensive range of AOD services to the community.

  • ReGen is an equal opportunity employer.
  • ReGen has zero tolerance to child abuse and this applies to all groups particularly those that are at higher risk who might not feel comfortable reporting. This includes a commitment to cultural safety of culturally and/or linguistically diverse children (including Indigenous children) and children with a disability.
  • ReGen is committed to reducing the harms associated with Tobacco and staff should adhere to site specific guidelines that includes tobacco free at some locations.

Our approach

ReGen’s services are consistent with the harm minimisation framework that has underpinned national and state drug strategies for more than 25 years. In keeping with these strategies we are committed to minimising the health, social and economic harms to individuals, families and communities resulting from alcohol and other drug use.

Harm minimisation is not about moral judgements regarding AOD use. It is about working with people in a respectful way, whether their goal is ceasing or reducing their use, or minimising the harms associated with substance use.

To achieve these commitments ReGen provides evidence-based programs that integrate established research findings with 42 years experience in service delivery.
